Skate Wings
Our delicious skate has a firm white meat and creates nearly no waste. We skin and trim our wings, so that they arrive with you ready to enjoy. There are no small bones in the flesh and they're absolutely delicious pan fried with butter and garlic. A no fuss treat, skate wings are delicious with chips and always a crowdpleaser. Some species have tiny black filaments in the surface of their flesh, which look like worms, but are in fact part of its nervous system. You can scrape them off your fish quickly and simply after cooking and before serving.
Storage & Preparation
Fresh fish is best eaten straight away, or within 3 days.
Pop into your fridge and cover with ice if you can.
To freeze; place the fish straight in the freezer upon delivery - consume within 2 months.
TIP: Write the date on the packaging before freezing.
Do not re-freeze the fish after defrosting.
