Live Wild Welsh Mussels

Our locally sourced wild Welsh mussels are a real delight. With a high meat content and a delicious oceanic aroma, our 1kg bag will happily serve two people. 
 
Fresh Mussels are a great source of vitamins. Not only are their levels of iron and folic acid comparable to that of red meat, mussels are also a rich source of zinc.
 
As a live product, it is best to consume within 3 days. Please store in the refrigerator, and do not freeze the product.
 
Special Instructions:  When you receive your mussels, check for any that are open and assumed dead. Remove these before preparing your mussels. Fully submerge the mussels in cold clean tap water for a few minutes. Then drain and discard any broken mussels or mussels that remain wide open. Once opened and briefly left to air, the mussels should smell fresh with no unpleasant or strong odours.
